Our July event was on "Personal Effectiveness at Work", another over-booked event with 30 professionals from various eWIT member companies took place in Chennai on July 12th.

Specifically, the trainer, Ms. Vijayanthi, focused on the following topics:

  • Issues Related to Personal Productivity - Goal setting, Role clarity, Work life balance, self awareness and self esteem.
  • Developing core competencies - ASK of Life (Attitude, Skill & Knowledge).
  • Human skills - communication and teamwork.
  • Business skills -Time Management.
  • Understanding Human Behavior In The TA Perspective.
  • Self-Understanding For Better Interpersonal Relations.

The workshop was well received and appreciated by all participants. It was very interactive and the trainer made the session more interesting by conducting several games to ensure that the participants understood the real meaning of interactivity as well as collective working.

Even the introductory session was educational - the trainer made sure that the participants' way of introducing themselves was corrected then and there and demonstrating better self presentation as well as improving the communication skills.

There was a lot of emphasis on effectively communicating.

Adaptability to work atmosphere was another area which was a real eye opener to all participants.

Several other areas like work efficiency, self analysis, motivation, leadership qualities were also spoken about which gave participants a good insight in to the present corporate culture.
