A program titled "Insurance literacy" was organized by eWIT on October 26th  at The Presidency club between 3.30 to 5.30 pm.

This program was sponsored by TATA AIG and M/s. Smart Choice and hence was a FREE event for the eWIT members.

The program focused primarily on the advantages and benefits of insurance coverage. Mr. Ajit of TATA AIG impressed upon the attendees on how to do financial planning and why financial planning is so important this time and day. .

He also went on to explain various ways to effectively invest in order to leverage the savings. He mentioned about the importance of starting to save early in life, and continuously and systematically engage in saving and investing throughout one's productive years.

He went on to create the awareness on the health risks and of current generation Indians. He also brought awareness that current generation has to plan for a longer retired life because of the extended life expectancy of today's Indians due to advanced medical technology.

The programme was attended by 31 participants from various companies in spite of heavy rains. Ms.Sujatha of Smart Choice Brokerage Firm mentioned about the various impressive yields that TATA AIG ULIPfunds have been offering the investors till date.

The program was well received by all participants who felt that it was information and certainly of help to them.

Ms. Kalyani Narayanan, initiated and organized the programme and was also present to ensure smooth running of the programme..
